Acceptance of Terms of Usage
Print Fast reserves the right to make changes to this Site and to these Terms of Usage at any time without prior notice. You should review these Terms of Usage each time you access this Site.
You also agree that we may provide all legal communications and notices to you electronically by posting them on our website or, at our election, by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided to us when you registered at our website. You may withdraw your consent to receive communications from us electronically by contacting customer care. However, if you withdraw your consent to receive our communications electronically, you must discontinue your use of your account.
All the terms and conditions and/or any transactions occuring online at www.printfast.ca or by phone are subject to the laws of the State of Ontario. Print Fast is not responsible for the delay and/or damages resulting from Machinery Breakdown, Acts of God, and from other actions, both governmental and otherwise, including but not limited to war, riot, seizure, and embargo. The tools available on www.printfast.ca to create document is the property of Print Fast and its affiliated companies. The Buyer’s order shall be deemed an acceptance of the Seller's terms. The Terms and conditions shall in all respects be governed by Canadian law.
All orders are subject to acceptance by Print Fast. We reserve the right to reject any order at any time without recourse. We also reserve the right to change the price at any time even after we receive the order.
Printing & Cutting
All products are "gang printed." Print Fast will reproduce colour from digital layouts as closely as possible, but cannot exactly match colour and density because of limitations in the printing process, as well as neighboring image ink requirements. The accuracy of each colour reproduction is guaranteed to be within 85-90% to the press match proof we offer. We accept no responsibility for color variations between submitted images and the actual artwork or product they represent. Any jobs that require emboss, foil stamping, Spot UV, Lamination or die cutting can vary up to a 1/8 inch.
ALL files must have an 1/8" bleed all around. A $25 fee may be charged to create a bleed if it has not been incorporated in your files. This fee is solely at our discretion.
Critical type or images must be at least 1/4" from the edge of the card. Print Fast is not responsible for type, art or images that are cut off if these guidelines are not followed. Furthermore, it is strongly suggested that you do not use a thin border around your layouts. This may cause an uneven frame around your card. If you desire to have a border, it should be at least 1/4" thick.
Our posted turnaround times begin ONLY after an order has been "received". Orders are considered "received" and are put into production ONLY when the following conditions have been met:
1. An ORDER FORM has been completely filled out online,
2. All files have been correctly submitted,
3. If applicable, the customer has approved the online proof and has given the go ahead to proceed with production, and
4. Payment information has been provided and paid.
Please note that our cutoff for standard procusts is 12:00pm EST Monday to Friday. Satuday, sunday and statutory holidays are not considered as business days. All our orders are standard 5 business days turnaround time unless otherwise stated. Shipping and transit time are not included in the turnaround time.
Cuttoff time for 1 hour products is 4:00pm EST Monday to Friday. Satuday, sunday and statutory holidays are not considered as business days.
Cuttoff time for 24 hour products is 1:00pm EST Monday to Friday. Satuday, sunday and statutory holidays are not considered as business days.
Production will begin the following day for orders received after this time. Although we rarely miss production schedules, the printing and pre-press process involves equipment which is subject to malfunctions and/or equipment failure. We will always do everything in our power to make sure that any production problems do not delay your job. However, please note that ALL production and delivery times ARE NOT CONTRACTUAL and no turnaround time can be guaranteed. No verbal or written correspondence can change that. Please try to plan date sensitive materials timely.
Please note there can be tollerances in thicknesses in paper by up to 1pt.
Files are checked on a first come first served basis. If a PDF proof is requested it can take up to around 24 hours before your files are checked due due to the large volume of orders we receive. If your files are set up correctly you will receive an e-mail with a link to your on-line proofs. PDF proofs are meant to check for layout only and not meant to check colours. We also suggest that if your job is colour critical, you purchase a press match proof. This proof normally costs $70CAD & $50US. Please keep in mind that while we will try our best to match proofs, We DO NOT GUARANTEE COLOR MATCHING.
PDF proofs will NOT be sent out for the following formats: PSD, TIF, JPG, BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG, PDF. These formats are flattened where images and fonts will not change. Customers will not be notified and production will start on these orders immediately.
Colour Matching and Proofs
To ensure proper colour matching customer must purchase a press match proof. Customer supplied proofs are not acceptable as they are not calibrated to our presses. Jobs without proofs will be printed following generally recognized industry standards. Because of differences in equipment, processing, proofing substrates, paper, inks, pigments, and other conditions between color proofing and production pressroom operations, a reasonable variation in color between color proofs and completed job shall constitute acceptable delivery. Please note that your monitor's calibration affects what you see on your screen. The colors on the printed products may differ from what you see on your screen.
We use different technologies and equipments (Digital, inkjet, letter press, sheetfed offset, web offset, flexo, screen, foil, themal) to do the printing. Depend on the quantity, turnaournd time, stock selection and the availability the process may vari and cause colour variation. If your print project is colour critical please contact our customer service to discuss before place the order.
Inkjet printed large format orders such as banners, signs, roll ups, stand banners, corrugated signs, magnets, posters, POS and foam boards are using the print technology not compatable to offset litho printing. The viewing distance for most signage is designed for viewing a minimum distance of 6 feet or more.
Please keep in mind that while we will try our best to match proofs, we DO NOT GUARANTEE COLOR MATCHING.
Due to the nature of the product, no returns can be made once the order is processed and/or shipped. Any claims for defects, damages, or shortages must be made in writing within two (2) business days after receipt of the merchandise. We will replace only those orders that were processed incorrectly. The replacement of the order will take place only after the receipt of returned merchandise. We will not replace the order if it is determined by us that the order was misused or mishandle by the buyer or part of the order was used by the buyer and part of the order is being returned.
If the Buyer's credit card is declined, Print Fast will not process the Buyer’s order. If the order is shipped and should the Buyer's account become delinquent, Buyer agrees to pay a monthly finance charge of 2% (annual percentage rate of 24%) on the unpaid balance. If an account goes beyond the payment term's due date, unless specific arrangements are made, future purchases will require advance payment. In the event that Print Fast must commence legal action to enforce any terms of this agreement, the Buyer agrees to pay reasonable legal fees and costs.
Print Fast neither makes any explicit warranty nor imply or accepts any responsibility other than possible replacement of the products that Buyer is buying. Print Fast may but does not guarantee the replacement of the defective product, or credit the amount of the purchase price.
Shipping terms are F.O.B. Toronto. Print Fast will arrange for shipping with the carrier on behalf of the buyer. The Buyer will be fully responsible for the shipping and handling cost. Print Fast will not be responsible for the delay in delivery, loss or damage of the order while the order is with the shipping carrier. Your shipping charge include a $100.00 insurance value. If you would like to purchase additional insurance for your shipment please contact customer service. The cost is $2.50 for each $100.00
Limitation of Liability:
Print Fast will not be liable in contract or in tort (including negligence) to the customer for incidental or consequential damages, arising out of or resulting from anybody’s performance or nonperformance of our obligations. Print Fast shall not be liable to anyone for any kind of financial losses, cost, expenses, damages and/or other economic damages. The Buyer agrees that the Buyer will not hold Print Fast responsible for any and all loss, cost, expense, and damages (including legal costs) on account of any and all manner of claims, demands, actions, and proceedings that may be instituted against Print Fast and its affiliated company (S) on grounds alleging that the said work violates any copyrights, trademarks, service marks, or is scandalous, or invades any person's right to privacy or other personal rights.
Cancellations and Refunds:
Print Fast and its affiliated companies will not refund any money for the orders that were cancelled after the order was being processed (Order status: In Production). However a store credit may issued if the order can be cancelled (Subject to approval; not guranteed).
Due to the custom nature of this work, Print Fast does not issue refunds for any reason. Please note un-completed orders or work in progress orders may be partially refunded. Subject to approval.
